Different Types of Grow Taller ExercisesWhile many people think that height is determined by genetics, this is only partially true. Growth hormones play an important part into our overall height. At any given point in our lives, the body may decrease its production of growth hormones due to age, poor diet or lack of exercise. There are many grow taller exercises which work to increase the body’s production of growth hormones. If you are already past your main growth spurt (usually happens during puberty), then exercises to get taller won’t help you gain a foot. However, some simple exercises to grow taller can help you add a few inches to your height.

Home exercises to grow taller can be broken down into a few different categories. There are exercises for the abs and back muscles which aim to improve posture. This won’t help you actually grow but it will help you stand up straighter and maximize the height you already have. Some of the best of posture exercises are crunches and leg lifts.

When it comes to growing taller, gravity is your worst enemy. Gravity causes the weight of your body to push your joints together, squeezing cartilage and compressing joints. However, there are some grow taller exercises which can use gravity to your advantage. The easiest and most effective of these home exercises to grow taller is hanging. All you need to do is find an overhead bar from which you can hang without your feet touching the ground. If you cannot find a bar which is high enough, you can bend your legs up. However, it is best if you can stretch out your entire body.

Naturally-occurring human growth hormone (HGH) is released by the pituitary gland. Even though the highest levels are secreted during puberty, adults still produce HGH throughout their lives. HGH is responsible for muscle development and many other functions. Because HGH is so closely related to muscle building and also re-growth of bodily tissues (after an accident, for example), exercising can cause more of these growth hormones to be produced.

A how to grow taller exercise for increasing HGH should be anaerobic. This means that it is high intensity and will trigger the body to build muscles, power, speed and strength. These are not your aerobic exercises which are just meant to get the heart and lungs going. Anaerobic exercises for growing taller typically last for a shorter time period than aerobic exercises (sprinting compared to brisk walking) and may leave you feeling “winded” afterwards. Because a large amount of energy is used at once, the body is triggered to repair itself by releasing human growth hormone. Then, the body can quickly recover for another burst of energy.

Cycling is a great anaerobic exercise which can help you grow taller. If you have access to a pool, then swimming is also a great exercise for growing taller. These exercises are also low impact so you don’t have to worry about harming your joints or causing further compression, thus shortening stature.
